Purpose

People Pacifico, Inc. is a private, nonprofit that started 1989 for the purpose of identifying opportunities to strengthen community-based work.

Founded on Guam by likeminded community advocates who saw the need to promote capacity building in the Micronesia region.  

Vision

To strengthen the understanding of fundamental knowledge, skills and attitudes of non profits organizations, government agencies and businesses towards the goal of improved services to targeted communities.

Board Governance
Understanding the requirements of nonprofit activities and decision making, within the board, management and partnerships. Specifically, in nonprofit governance, the role in ensuring nonprofit boards and management is accountable for performance, standards of conduct and the community impact. Ensuring that leadership expectations are met for the organization’s administration of programs though streamlined guidance and application of governance principles.
Grant Writing
Understand the Fundamental of grant writing to properly reflect the initiating program concept to proposal to activation. Review and assess funding sources and opportunities. Start and craft proposals to align with your organization’s mission. Ensure information on eligibility and requirements are clear. Reviewing the level of readiness for organization to draft and complete proposals.
Grants Management
Align the expectations as a program awardee and recipient to the timeline and program outcome as proposed. Ensuring all administrative support can be planned and prepared to deliver the outcomes. Understand the tracking and progress monitoring required during all the stages of the project. Within the duration of the project, identifying possible challenges in execution of the program deliverables. Act at a steward of funds, with compliance for fiscal spending and utilization rate according to plans.
Board Development
Explore the different types of Boards and its need for continuous development to sustain organizations. Successful Board development impacts the organization’s growth and strategy implementation. With maximized board development, internal development of Board officers through a framework which defines scope of responsibilities. Understanding the roles as officers and members of the board, with defined governance principles to ensure that programs and administration are managed efficiently.
Program Planning and Development
Learn the foundations of planning and development of a program, highlighting expectations of the program in identifying a problem and desired outcome. Development of a roadmap that details timelines, deadlines, milestones, responsible parties and action plan to execute the goal and objective. A program management plan details how a company expects to manage and execute a program. The plan features a program overview, details on the program scope and the proposed strategy to move forward.
Project Management and Evaluation
Advance the tools for the organization to ensure alignment to the project’s mission, outcome and impact to the community. Determining the progress and achievement of objectives, while rating the outcome for effectiveness and efficiency. Evaluations are planned and completed to feed lessons learned for project stakeholders and next steps to enable sustainability. Using the tools for evaluation and applying key learnings to impact next steps and resource needs.
